Members are invited to have your psychotherapy practice advertising materials on display at our resource table.  Do you have business cards, pamphlets, or flyers of your upcoming events? 2013 Pride BoothThis was the third year that we had a MN LGBT Therapists Network booth at Twin Cities Pride. Trisha is an experienced therapist and counselor who will help families navigate the logistical as well as the emotional and relational roller-coaster that often coincides with family creation and expansion. Two Relationship Workshops:

Participants will gain concrete tools to:
improve how they talk, listen and disagree; identify their needs and ask for them; strengthen their emotional connection; spice up their sexual intimacy
Both workshops are LGBTQA-friendly and promote sex-positivity.
Fun, informative, zesty workshops, bound to strengthen your relationship.
Cost: $115/person. ($50 due with registration.) Some partial scholarships available. $15 discount if registered by 11/1/13. Space is limited. These workshops do fill up.
Healthy snacks, workshop materials, bibliography, and notebooks provided. Attendees’ group participation is optional.

The LGBTQ Youth & Families Support Group is a confidential and safe group that will provide support, resources and education on numerous topics such as LGBTQ history, healthy relationships, coming out, bullying, and others. We want to provide an opportunity for youth and their family members to learn more about relevant topics and to talk about their own related family experiences. There is a $25 registration fee per youth. *Note: Youths and their family members (parents/guardians/caretakers) must participate. They will meet together for the first half and separately for the second half of the session.

Presented by Kente Circle, this experiential workshop will offer participants an opportunity to learn more about the needs and concerns of queer youth and their families. Professional and cultural discourses that influence our ideas about gender and sexuality will be discussed, and the intersection of class, race, and ethnicity with gender and sexuality will also be considered.

Mindful Heart Couples Workshop:  What is Sacred Partnership?
Saturday, November 9,10:30 am – 5:00 pm - Mpls - $250 per couple
A Sacred Partnership supports the deepest truth of each individual while enhancing the synergy of your higher purpose as a couple. Sacred Partnership exists for the purpose of resolving anything that does not look like love.  Learn to connect to your partner through the Sacred Heart and discover the energy flow of unconditional love.  Learn practices to support Sacred Partnership.  Develop Sacred Agreements with your partner to further support the lifting of your relationship to your higher purpose.  You will increase awareness, energy flow, intimacy & healing in your relationship. There will be guided experiential practice time, room to practice in your own space, and some time alone together.

Our network is a Minnesota-based grassroots group of queer and allied mental health therapists, students in mental health-related fields, and community mental-health related agencies. Our group shares information and resources that impact our varied work in the mental health fields and that is unique to the particular needs of the LGBTQ communities we live in and serve.
