Directory listing text
If you're struggling with your mental health and your relationships with things like communication and you feel like you don’t know how to improve it, even with workbooks or past therapy, I have successfully helped relationships and individuals learn not only how to have hard conversations, but also how to tolerate the distress of having to talk about things we think we “shouldn’t have to.”

In doing this, we will identify communication styles, barriers, and other relational dynamics inhibiting you from thriving. I accomplish this by using skills-focused and narrative approaches that reinforce the relationship.

I focus on strengthening meaningful relationships that have become a struggle: whether that be with a partner, colleagues, culture, or even with yourself. I approach communication and emotions in both concrete and meaningful ways by finding your relational language and teaching you relational skills to better communicate, relate and understand in all parts of your life.

I practice from a trauma-informed, multicultural lens, and am particularly gifted at working with inter-cultural dynamics in relationships. By coaching folx out of old patterns, and teaching the skills needed to integrate and retain new ones, clients have been consistently able to be more communicative and empathetic. With that in mind, change is often challenging in implementing the changes we want and need in our lives inside and outside of therapy. And you’re not alone in creating the change you want in your life and relationships.

Groups offered

Group #1 name
DBT Skills Training Therapy Group for Queer folx (18+)
Group #1 description
Do you identify as LGBTQ+? Do you feel you are struggling with your thoughts, feelings, and emotions?

For many, we are not directly taught (like in school) ways to deal with stress. In fact, we are often taught destructive ways of coping, whether from peers, family, or media, that can make living life feel challenging, or sometimes even impossible.

DBT Skills training can give you tools and insight that will help you to connect to yourself and your emotions to move towards better understanding and processing them.

You will learn and practice a range of practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and enhance overall well-being.

Be a part of a supportive group environment where you can share experiences, receive feedback, and practice new skills.
